Job Overview:
The Government Tender Manager will be responsible for managing the tendering process for government projects within the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) sector. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and submission of bids to secure government contracts. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of PEB construction, and an ability to foster relationships with government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Management:
- Lead and manage the entire tendering process for government contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Analyze tender documents and specifications to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement bidding strategies to enhance the company’s competitiveness in government projects.
- Monitor and assess market trends and competitor activities related to government tenders.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and finance to gather necessary information for bids.
- Liaise with government officials and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and build strong relationships.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all submitted tenders meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with governmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all tender submissions and associated correspondence.
- Post-Tender Activities:
- Assist in contract negotiations and award processes following successful bids.
- Conduct post-tender analysis to identify areas for improvement in future submissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tender management, particularly in the construction or PEB industry.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in tender management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
